Celeb Saturday- Blake Lively Mood Board

Blake Lively isn't the most prestigious or talented of actresses. However, she is a shining star in the fashion world and has a dress aesthetic that indicates a great deal of styling talent.  Structured silhouettes made in shiny or colorful fabrics are her go-to.  Mixing in a bit of print and sequin here and there, Blake creates outfits for her everyday and for the red carpet that are classic, but interesting. 

This girl would be the perfect muse for any designer (and I know that she has already inspired Chanel-the last look in this series is from a party the designer threw in her honor).  So if I were a designer designing a fashion line inspired by Blake Fashion, I'd create a mood board that uses some of her best fashion moments and some images that evoke the spirit of her fashion self through color, photography, and architecture.

I'm not a designer, but I think mood boards are great sources of inspiration for anybody who loves fashion.  Here is my Blake Lively Fashion Mood Board:

Freaky Friday-Virtual Mood Board

I am really inspired by designers' mood boards and the idea of a mood board in general.  Combining images into a collage to create a certain mood for inspiration is such an interesting idea.  I think I might make one to hang on my wall for each season to inspire my fashion choices!  But since today is Freaky Friday, I've made a Freaky Friday virtual mood board. If my designer collection was to be called "Freaky Friday", this is what my mood board would look like. Some pictures are fashion-related and some are just spooky. Each picture is freaky in a different way, but together they create a dark, moody atmosphere.

Are you in a different mood now? Thinking about grunge, black, and goth? I hope so! Although I won't be creating a collection of clothing inspired by my mood board-I'M still inspired! I'm not naturally moody and dark, but maybe I can add touches of that to my fashion sometimes.
