Thrifty Thursday - A Look For Fall

As I said yesterday, I would give you a little more information on what I was wearing!

Surprise, I went on ASOS and starting buying things again! I just can't pass up a good sale!

Last week, ASOS was having a 20% off sale for their new lines, and I couldn't pass up some of the options! I picked up a few and realized they go really well together.

ASOS Denim Shirt - $42.58

This is the denim shirt that I was wearing yesterday! I love it a lot! It fits well and it's perfectly blue denim!

ASOS Brogues in Leather - $54.50

I've been craving some brogues recently, and I'm really excited about this pair! They're just good looking! Not the most comfortable, but I'll break them in! :)

ASOS Tort Poet Clear Lens Glasses - $3.41

How could I pass up $3 glasses? I wear prescription glasses every now and then, but I like the look of "fake" eyeglasses because the lenses on my real glasses make my eyes look smaller than they are; these non prescription lenses, of course, do not. I'll keep them!

I'm glad to see all of these options are still on ASOS in every size! Go pick them up!

Thrifty Thursday - ASOS Sale

I'm all about finding cheap clothes for cheap (who isn't!), so I always check the "Sale" section of all of my favorite online stores first. It's good to check often, because stores constantly put new sale items up. Lucky for me, ASOS marked down some great new items, and I got great deals on them!

Now normally, I'm not a fan of short sleeved button ups - because I like the versatility of long sleeves, and sometimes they just look awkward. But these were a really good deal, and I thought the colors were fun so I gave them a go! I'm not disappointed. They fit great!

I also can never pass up a good chunky sweater. They're my winter time staple!

I can't say enough good things about ASOS. They're sizing is pretty true, they're shipping is pretty fast (and free!), and they have awesome sales!

Thrifty Thursday - Small Haul for Fall

I did a little shopping at H&M and picked up a few things for fall!

Super Slim Fit Black Pants - $24.95

I saw these pants, initially, on a mannequin and thought they were a really good fit with nice stretch. Plus I've been dying for a pair of decent black jeans! Luckily, I was able to find them in my size! I think they'll be a perfect fit for a chunky sweater or coat. I like mixing small garments with larger ones - but keeping it all trim is fine too if you can pull it off!

H&M Sweater - $15

I've seen this sweater on sale for a while now, and for one reason or another, I've been picking it up, carrying it around the store, and then ending up not getting it (don't you hate when you do that??? ;) ) So, this time, it was still there in my size, so I figured it was a sign! I realized it's 100% cotton and would be great for dyeing too! Good price and good options for it!

I think I'll wear it a few times as beige, and then play with dye!

Thrifty Thursday - Small ASOS Haul

Thrifty Thursday is here! I got a few things from ASOS because they're having pretty good sales!

Thrifty Thursday- Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret

Forever 21's BOGO sale turned out to be nothing short of miraculous.  I found a bunch of fantastic pieces to add to my wardrobe, and I spend practically nothing! What more can a girl ask for?  I bought items that can go from day to night, from relaxed and casual to sexy and flashy.  I already wore two of the items I bought yesterday (see my outfit post), but that still leaves me with plenty of stuff to show you.

Then, since it is summer after all, I bought myself a teeny weeny bikini from Victoria's Secret during their swim sale. It's tiny and the print is wild and crazy.  But I think that every girl needs a micro-bikini in a bold print.  Don't you?

Take a look:

Tan Crochet Duster Vest

I'll wear this with olive trouser shorts, a tan top with studs, tan oxfords, and a head-wrap.  I have this outfit planned to wear tomorrow at a festival-so anticipate this piece in an outfit post next Wednesday!

Semi-sheer Maxi Skirt with Velvet Overlay

I'll wear this with a simple white tank, embellished flat sandals, and some chunky bracelets and rings. 

Shiny Lurex Crop-Top

I'll wear this with a pair of glittery shorts with sheer black stockings underneath and some printed sneakers.

 

Black and White Head-wrap

I'll wear this as part of the outfit I have planned for the second day of the festival this weekend.  I'll wear it to accent a hippie/rocker-chic look. 

Soft Denim Cut-Off Shorts

I'll wear this, along with the head wrap, on the second day of this weekend's festival-with a gray printed muscle tee and boat shoes.  So look forward to TWO outfit posts next Wednesday!

Leopard-Print Bandeau Bikini

I'll wear this sexy little thing to the beach underneath a bright-colored vintage cover-up.

Thrifty Thursday - H&M

I have been quite busy shopping lately, and I just can’t get enough! Good thing I have Thrifty Thursday to show them off! I’ve picked up some really great items this week, and I’m excited for you to see!

H&M is having up to 75% off sales and each store has something different to offer (depending on what sold in their store!) So I’ve been feverish in going to each of their stores in my area. I’ve been to 5 so far… Out of control!

I've been trying to update my wardrobe so I don't have more of the same. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone and shake things up with different items so I can gain totally new looks!

I did, however, pick up more shirts for dyeing... Shocking!

H&M Basics – $5.95

H&M Rolled Short Sleeved Buttoned Shirt - $9.95

I plan on playing with blacks and reds with my dyeing this time! When I get a chance, I’ll show you! I also love the pale hunter green buttoned shirt; we’ll keep that color!

I also picked up a few fun summery bottoms!

H&M Linen Drawstringed Pants (L.O.G.G.) - $19.95

I normally wear very fitted clothing, but I thought I’d try these comfortable classics out. I typically don’t like the way baggier items hang on my body, but these fit really well on the butt and drape really nicely! I also love the versatility with the drawstrings on the bottom. You can set them at any length on your leg and make it work! I’m pretty excited about these!

Teal Cuffed Shorts (&Shorts) - $24.95

Color is obviously all over this summer, and I couldn’t pass up these shorts! The color is really fun, and I think it will pair well with a lot of things in my wardrobe already!

TIP: Earth tones will be a big trend in the fall, so I think it's smart to transition your clothing as the season continues, so it's not an abrupt change into fall clothing! Plus, I've been obsessed with earth tones for a bit!
