Magazine Monday - The Best and Worst September Issue Advertisements

Now we all know that September magazine issues are huge and filled with a ridiculous amount of advertisements. But who was successful in catching our attention?

Here are my favorite ads that are gloriously colorful and worth stopping on!

~-~:::~-~

Alexander McQueen

Alice & Olivia

Bebe

Belstaff

Chloe

Dolce & Gabbana

Etro

Furla

Kenzo

Leon Max

Levi's

Louis Vuitton

Marciano

Neiman Marcus (featuring McQueen)

Oscar de la Renta

Salvatore Ferragamo

Valentino

Now, color is not essential to create a gorgeous ad! Check out these pretty pieces that are mostly colorless!

Coach

Burberry

Calvin Klein

Escada

J.Mendel

Max Mara

The next ad is one of my favorites! I think the photography and effects are interesting, and still manage to show off the essence of the clothing and make you want to buy it!

Missoni

And finally, we have what NOT to do! I hate these ads!

Chanel

I feel like each issue has like 4 Chanel ads in it, and they are all awful! I don't understand the model's odd looks and the lack of clothes on BOTH pages, and the messy hair.. Eh.

Dior

While I LOVE Mila Kunis, I hate these Dior ads! Again, I just don't get it! She's a gorgeous girl, and they made her look like a 5 year old trying to dress in older clothing - or, at least, that's what I'm getting out of it! I feel like this campaign could have really been gorgeous, but it's just all wrong.

Miu Miu

I get Miu Miu's quirky style, but I just can't get behind it. Chloe Sevigny looks a mess, that's all.

What were your favorite ads from the large and in charge September issues??

  1. I really like the Dolce ads. Very evocative of the trends for fall and Italian life! Always love Missoni - everything about them.
